Mission
The LPM Project is changing how we recycle by developing technology to turn mixed post-consumer plastic waste into exclusive, high-end products at a village level.
Working with local communities across the Asia Pacific, we are taking the plastic waste from their environment and turning it into a resource. The LPM Project provides these communities with the technology, equipment, training and an end market to sell the products they produce. This is a key element in our circularity mission. After the initial setup and training, we then move into a liaison role, helping solve any issue that arises while letting the facility evolve naturally.

Our Waste Plastic Composite Technology
WasticFibre is a unique innovation The LPM Project developed to aid in its mission to combat plastic waste. Leveraging over 30 years of advanced composite expertise and product R&D from our parent company, Talon Tech, we’ve pioneered a process to integrate soft plastic bags and fabrics into a composite material.
This breakthrough allows WasticFibre to serve as a reinforcement layer—using materials like fibreglass or carbon fibre—while offering customizable aesthetics through patterned cotton fabrics. As an industry first, this approach unlocks entirely new applications for waste plastic products, setting a groundbreaking standard in sustainable materials.
All our products include WasticFibre in one way or another, depending on product needs and applications.

Geoff is the CEO and founder of Talon Technology, (parent company of The LPM Project) and
Adjunct Professor in Design at the University of Canberra since 2016. With over 30 years of experience in innovation and advanced composites design, Geoff brings a vital knowledge and specialised skill set to The LPM Project. A self-described brutal realist, Geoff believes this mindset is essential for creating lasting solutions to plastic pollution.
Sam Melrose
Co-founder
Industrial Designer
Sam joined Talon Technology as a Technical Designer after his studies at the University of Canberra. Soon after, he became the Lead Project Manager for the LPM Project, overseeing product and process development, manufacturing and marketing. A lifelong SCUBA diver, Sam’s inspiration for tackling plastic pollution stems from his love for the ocean and passion for innovative design. Sam is dedicated to ensuring the LPM Project achieves its potential to drive positive change.

Filimoni Delasau (Dels)
Facility Manager
Electrician
Filimoni Delasau, Dels, works at CATD as a qualified electrician and is currently working towards his Australia and New Zealand electrical certificate. He is passionate about recycling plastic because he recognises the harmful impact of plastic pollution on the environment in Fiji and feels a responsibility to take action. Dels hopes to reduce waste, conserve valuable resources, and contribute to a cleaner, healthier planet for future generations.
Losana Tinainuku (Loddy)
Production Manager
Carpenter
Losana Tinainuku, Loddy, completed her carpentry and tiling studies at CATD and now works using her skills to enhance its facilities. Passionate about innovation and advancing her learning, she eagerly joined The LPM Project as a production manager. Loddy recognises the project's potential to foster local development, drive innovation and become an industry leader in recycled plastic products at home in Fiji.
